Case Study: Building a Web Presence for Erased Laser Hair Removal

New local service businesses face a specific problem: they're competing for trust against studios that have been established for years, often with zero existing online footprint of their own. No reviews to point to yet, no history a search engine can find, nothing beyond word of mouth. Erased — a laser hair and tattoo/SPMU removal studio based in Swinton, Greater Manchester — launched into exactly that position.

The brief

Erased needed a web presence that could do the job a longer-established competitor's reputation usually does: make a first-time visitor confident enough to book, on day one. That meant clarity on services (laser hair removal, and tattoo and semi-permanent makeup removal, including lip blush correction), straightforward pricing, and a design that looked credible next to established studios in the Manchester laser and aesthetics market — not like a new business still finding its feet.

What we built

Clear service and pricing structure — Visitors can see exactly what's offered and what it costs without digging, which matters most for a first-time enquiry from someone comparing several studios.

A direct path to booking — The site is built around getting a visitor from "interested" to "booked" with as little friction as possible — no dead ends, no guessing how to get in touch.

Mobile-first, because that's where the traffic is — Local service searches happen overwhelmingly on phones, often from Instagram straight through to the site, so the build was designed mobile-first rather than adapted afterwards.

Pairing the website with Instagram

A website alone rarely carries a new local business — it needs somewhere active for people to find it, and a reason to trust what they find. Erased's Instagram (client reviews, price lists, and laser care information kept front and centre in its highlights) does that work day to day, with the website as the place that presence converts into an actual booking. Consistent branding across both meant a visitor arriving from an Instagram post and one arriving from a Google search landed on the same, coherent studio — not two different impressions of the business.

The result

Since launch, Erased has gone from a new studio with no digital footprint to a business that shows up credibly wherever a prospective client looks first — website or Instagram. The two working together has helped generate a steady stream of new customers and given Erased a genuine, professional online presence to compete on from day one, rather than years into trading.

The takeaway for new businesses

You don't need everything at once. A new business doesn't need a huge marketing budget or a five-year content strategy to look credible — it needs a website and a social presence that are consistent, clear, and built to work together from the start. That combination does more to build trust fast than either one does alone.
If you're launching a new business and want a web presence built to earn trust from a standing start, get in touch — this is exactly the kind of project HollowMINT likes to work on.
